Officials say it appears a small aircraft crashed and burned about 10:15 a.m. Monday next to a hangar on a private airport in the town of Arcola, about 25 miles southwest of Houston.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said the Echo P-92 single-engine aircraft crashed between two parked aircraft and burned at Houston Southwest Airport.

Trooper Eric Burse of the Texas Department of Public Safety identified the owner of the plane as Houston Light Sport Aviation but said the identities of the two on board are being withheld until their families can be notified.
