Colleyville police said a man — later identified as 68-year-old Carlos Guajardo — drove a 2006 Mazda Tribute through the front door of Hall's Fine Wine and Spirits in the 4200 block of Glade Road at 6:22 p.m.

A 36-year-old North Richland Hills woman inside the store was injured in the crash. She was transported by medical helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas where she remains in critical condition as of Friday morning.

Paramedics also transported a 44-year-old Fort Worth woman to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford. Police said she was treated and released.

Police said they determined that Guajardo had consumed alcohol before the crash and was intoxicated. Officers arrested him for the investigation of driving while intoxicated. Because of the injuries the women sustained, police said they also charged him with intoxication assault.

Guajardo remains in the Keller Regional Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
