Suspected Shooter Surrenders; Officer Recovers from Shooting

A Dallas police officer is in stable condition after being shot Saturday. The suspected shooter, Rakeem Perkins, surrendered to police in the company of his mother and aunt Saturday evening. Perkins, who was also injured in the exchange of fire, remains hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his thigh and is expected to face two charges of aggravated assault against a public servant.
