State Fair of Texas Initiative Reaches Goal of Serving Fresh Produce to Community

The “Big Tex Urban Farms” started as an initiative in 2016 to grow and donate fresh produce to the south Dallas community– which the USDA has designated as a food desert. Friday the fair announced they’ve reached their goal of donating 1 million servings of fresh produce to that community.
