UT Longhorns Wear ‘Smart Helmets' During Games

The Riddell Insite Helmet records blows to the head on the football field, then sends the information in a text to trainers with alert monitors on the sidelines. It can measure the severity of impact, as well as where it occurred on the head. The helmets are already being used by the University of Texas Longhorns football team.
