A San Antonio police officer was suspended in July for choosing to eat Whataburger instead of helping another officer with an intoxicated man outside.
The manager asked Gary Nel if he was there to assist the other officer, but he said no, he was there to eat, KENS5 reports. He sat in a corner of the fast food restaurant eating while officers outside called for backup and eventually arrested the suspect, Aaron Navarro, the station reports.
