Plane From North Texas Makes Emergency Landing

A single-engine plane registered in Addison made an emergency landing at David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport in Spring Monday night. The plane’s nose landing gear didn’t work.

A small plane that circled above David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport in Spring for more than 30 minutes landed safely.

According to NBC affiliate KPRC, the pilot was having trouble with the nose landing gear .

The Cessna single-engine aircraft landed just after 5 p.m. Monday, first touching down on its back wheels, then tipping forward, where it skidded on its nose before coming to a complete stop.

There were two people on board. No one was injured.

The aircraft is registered in Addison.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
