A crash involving two semi trucks that were carrying sand shut down part of Interstate 35W in Denton on Tuesday for hours.
An overturned 18-wheeler backed up traffic on Interstate 35 north of US Highway 380 in Denton Tuesday.
The cause of the crash has not yet been revealed. The condition of the driver is also not yet known.
Drivers were detoured onto the Frontage Road at 380, though some traffic was able to get by the crash on the shoulder, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Traffic was backed up in the area about a mile, officials said.
All northbound lanes of I-35 at this location were closed while the overturned truck was righted.
The road, which was expected to be closed for several hours, reopened to traffic at about 1 p.m. Traffic may be slow in the area for a short time while traffic increases to normal speeds.
