A 288-square-foot "tiny house" designed by Austin Community College is now on sale for just $49,800.
While most Texans might want a little more space inside their dream home, the students built the home as a demonstration of how to do more with less space.
Matt Hart of Barley & Pfeiffer Architects in Austin told KXAN-TV that the exercise shows how to live in a "smaller impact, smaller footprint" home.
Bidding on eBay has started at $37,800, though a buyer can end the auction by paying just under $50,000.
Part of the sale's proceeds will go to an endowment for environmentally-friendly building technologies.
