North Texas woman gave boyfriend fentanyl-laced pills that killed him, police say

A Grapevine woman is charged with murder after her boyfriend overdosed on fentanyl. As of September 2023, authorities in Texas can prosecute fentanyl manufacturers and suppliers if their actions lead to death. NBC 5’s Alicia Barrera spoke to Grapevine Police, who say it’s a new way to tackle the fentanyl crisis.
