New proposed Texas bill may let law enforcement officers arrest those suspected of illegally crossing border

Local police officers may soon be able to arrest people they suspect crossed into Texas illegally. A bill in the Texas legislature just passed the House after an emotional night. Some changes need to be worked out among Republican leaders but NBC 5’s political reporter Phil Prazan reports Governor Abbott is expected to sign it into law later this year.
