Dallas police said they are looking for 32-year-old Gerardo Garduno, who is currently free on bond for an aggravated assault charge related to the shooting.
Garduno, police said, was standing in front of the P&J Pawn Shop with another employee when 37-year-old Grant Pavlis walked by. Both Garduno and the other employee followed Pavlis until he stopped in the street and turned around. The witness told police that's when Garduno raised a handgun and shot Pavlis one time.
Pavlis was hospitalized Wednesday at Baylor Medical Center Dallas, though police said Sunday morning Pavlis died from his injuries on Friday.
A motive for the shooting has not been revealed.
Police said Garduno was arrested on an aggravated assault charge for the shooting and was free after paying $25,000 bond. He's currently at large. When he's taken into custody, he'll face a $150,000 bond for the murder charge.
Anyone with information on Garduno's location is asked to call the Dallas Police Department at 214-670-6178.
