Garland Officer Gregory Stevens Receives Medal of Valor

Officer Gregory Stevens, of Garland, who killed two armed men in a gunfight outside a provocative contest for caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, was awarded the Medal of Valor Monday. Both gunmen were killed, heading off what investigators suspected was a planned terrorist attack.
