Mother files lawsuit after son dies in UT Southwestern Medical Center police custody

After the Dallas County medical examiner ruled an Austin man’s death a homicide while in the custody of UT Southwestern Medical Center police last year, his mother has filed a lawsuit, and she’s calling for transparency and justice for a man who she says was having a mental health crisis.
