Man Injured After Crashing Into Street Sweeper

A 21-year-old man was hospitalized after rear-ending a street sweeper in Mansfield early Friday morning. The man rear-ended the vehicle on southbound U.S. 287 south of Walnut Creek Drive. He had to be extricated by firefighters who cut the roof open to pull him out, police said. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital. The driver of the street sweeper was not injured.
