Lee Merritt Speaks

Attorney Lee Merritt, who is representing Malone’s mother, has identified the deceased man as Amari Malone, an 18-year-old man he said was shot in the back and is a murder victim, not a murder suspect. Merritt said witnesses he spoke with refuted the police account of what took place and said Malone was not armed and was not threatening.
