LBJ Express Construction Reduces Lanes on 75, 635

Lane closures to be in place for one year

traffic around the High 5 in Dallas will be more congested than usual for the next year.

In case it wasn't intimidating enough, the High Five in North Dallas is about to get even more intimidating.

Starting at 10 p.m. Tuesday and running for approximately one year, both the north and southbound ramps from U.S. 75 Central Expressway onto westbound Interstate 635 LBJ will be reduced to one lane.

The work is necessary, according to those behind the plan, to complete construction of the westbound LBJ Express main lanes between Coit Road and Park Central Drive.

Also, beginning Friday, the Coit Road entrance ramp to westbound LBJ will be temporarily moved east of the existing ramp, according to a representative from the LBJ Express project.
