Labor Trafficking Victim: “This Happened in the U.S.”

They told him his voice was so unique, it could change his families financial future. So he left his home in Zambia, and moved to North Texas, to join an all boys choir. But instead of earning money, he was forced to work for next to nothing. At just 11 years old Given Kachepa was a victim of labor trafficking. Kachepa was recruited by a Pastor from Whitesboro,Texas, just outside of Dallas. At first he thought he won the lottery. Now, at 31, he says he was a modern day slave.
