#KekeStrong: School Supports Girl With Life-Threatening Condition

A young Texas girl is proving just how strong she is at 10 years old. Keke Devroe is fighting a life-threatening condition and her entire school is cheering her on with shirts that say “Keke Strong.” She just got back to school after spending a month and a half at a hospital. For months she had pain in her chest and trouble breathing. When she passed out during a P.E. class one day, doctors finally figured out what’s wrong. Keke has pulmonary arterial hypertension. It means she has high blood pressure in the arteries that go from her heart to her lungs. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for this illness. Keke still plans to swim, dance and do gymnastics.
