Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Filed By ‘Clock Teen's' Family

A lawsuit filed by the family of the teen known as “clock boy” against the city of Irving and the Irving School District has been dismissed.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by the father of a Muslim teen arrested after taking a homemade clock to his Irving school.

Ahmed Mohamed was arrested after bringing a homemade clock to school that his teacher thought might be a bomb in back 2015.

The teen was eventually arrested, but charges were later dropped.

Mohamed's father sued the city and school district claiming Ahmed's civil rights were violated, but the judge determined there was no evidence to support that claim.
