GPPD Chief: Despite Lower Crime Rates, Officers Needed

A recent article in the New York Times is raising some eyebrows within the law enforcement community here in North Texas. It notes that fewer crimes are taking place across the U.S. and then questions whether that means we need fewer police officers. Several local police chiefs, including Grand Prairie Chief Steve Dye, say the answer to that question is a resounding no.
