Globe Life Park Adds Second Dilly Dog Stand

The Texas Rangers opened up a new season and that means new food. NBC 5’s Sports Director Newy Scruggs and Pat Doney gives us a preview.

One Dilly Dog hot dog location at Globe Life Park is simply not enough.

With the first home series in the books, Delaware North and Texas Rangers announced a second Dilly Dog location being added to Globe Life Park in Arlington due to high popularity.

Nearly 2,500 of the delicious dogs, made with a cored-out Best Maid dill pickle stuffed with an Angus Beef Jumbo hot dog, were sold during the season opener against the Houston Astros.

"We have been overwhelmed at the demand for the Dilly Dogs by fans at Globe Life Park," said Sportservice Arlington General Manager, Casey Rapp.

With high demand of the ballpark food item, a second location will allow customers to buy their Dilly Dogs quicker and get back to their seats to enjoy the game, Rapp said.

The new location will be open in time for Friday night’s game at 7:05 p.m. against Toronto Blue Jays.
