Firefighters said they were called to the abandoned building near the intersection of South Denley and Kingsley drives just before 6 a.m.

Authorities said there was evidence that squatters were in the building.

No injuries were reported.

Neighbors told NBC 5 the building was a church about three years ago. They said they couldn't remember the name because it changed frequently.

NBC 5's Josh Ault contributed to this report.
