The southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Waxahachie reopened early Tuesday morning after a fatal crash closed the highway for several hours overnight.

According to MedStar Ambulance, the truck collided with another vehicle and caught fire just before 6 a.m. near Altamesa.
MedStar said everyone escaped the crash with only minor injuries.
The truck is on the shoulder, so onlooker traffic is passing slowly on the highway.
Officals have not said when the shoulder will reopen to traffic.
