A former education worker in Texas has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Federal prosecutors announced Friday that Neal Edmond Brown was sentenced this week following his guilty plea in November 2017 to possession of prepubescent child pornography.
The 46-year-old Brown had been the director of school finance operations for the Region 16 Education Service Center in Amarillo. The center is part of a network of state facilities that meet the needs of local school districts.
According to a plea agreement, authorities discovered Brown had been uploading child pornography from his work computer.
Authorities seized several electronic devices from Brown's office in June 2017 and found the devices contained over 900 images of child pornography and over 200 videos of child pornography.
