Efforts to Spare Deep Ellum's ‘Dangerous Dog' Include Death Threats for Dallas Animal Services Director

The dog known as Lamb of God has been spared from the veterinarian’s needle, in a custody case that is now tied up in court. The Dallas Morning News’ Robert Wilonsky explains.

For now, and for the foreseeable future, a dog deemed a "ticking time bomb" by the city of Dallas will live. And the man tasked, reluctantly, with her execution grows increasingly frustrated with a situation now tied up in two Dallas courtrooms after dog lovers and defense attorneys rushed to spare the dog known as Lamb of God from the veterinarian's needle.

Several animal advocates and attorneys have stepped in to save a dog on the city's euthanasia list. A judge ordered "Lamb of God," also known as "Lamby," to be put down after she bit a child for the third time.
