North Texas Pastor Reflects on Time in Liberia

The founder of a North Texas-based nonprofit that does mission work in Liberia tells NBC5 the United States and the West African nations dealing with Ebola are “worlds apart” in his observations when it comes to medical care. Dr. Todd Phillips of The Last Well was on the ground in the West African nation late this summer when the virus started sweeping through. Phillips says Liberia does not offer the basic medical facilities, education or containment wards that exist in the United States. He plans to return to mission work there this winter.
