Drugs Found in Truck After Three Killed in Crash

Investigators say they've found prescription painkillers in the pickup truck that plowed through a formation of motorcycles, killing three riders.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reports a search of the truck after the Saturday crash also turned up a leafy substance. A search warrant affidavit reviewed by the Corsicana Daily Sun shows DPS Trooper Chris Williamson detected "a strong odor of marijuana" in the truck cab.

Corsicana High School teacher Leslie McCluney, her father Terry Nelson and David Coley were killed when they were hit while on a charity ride. All three were from Corsicana.

The driver of the pickup truck, William J. Lindsey of Corsicana, was treated for minor injuries.

A message left Monday at a telephone listed with Lindsey hasn't been returned, but he hasn't been charged with any crime. The DPS is still investigating.
