DPD Searching for Accused Shooter Who Fled on a Hoverboard

Dallas police are searching for a gunman who they say fled a crime scene on a hoverboard.[[370978721,C]]

According to officers, a man pulled into a parking lot near the 9000 block of Community Drive at about 4 a.m. Thursday and encountered another man on a hoverboard. The victim asked the man if he needed a ride. The man declined and the victim left.

Thirty minutes later, the victim pulled back into the same parking lot and once again saw the man on the hoverboard. He again asked the man if he needed a ride. The man declined again and appeared angry. As the victim drove away, the man on the hoverboard pulled out a gun and fired at the victim's car, striking him in the right arm. The accused shooter then took off on the hoverboard.

The victim was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The victim described the shooter as a black male, 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall with shoulder-length dreadlocks and possibly wearing a red shirt.

The incident is under investigation.
