D/FW Airport to Remove TollTag Discount

Some commuters that cut through Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will notice a price change Friday.

TollTag users currently receive a $1 discount when driving through the airport, but the North Texas Tollway Authority said they will no longer offer the discount beginning Friday.

The decision will cost those who commuted through the airport twice per day $10 per week and more than $500 more per year.

NTTA officials said D/FW Airport officials set the discount and made the decision to eliminate it.

The regular pass-through rate remains $2.

NBC 5's Jeff Smith contributed to this report.
