Arrest Made After Dallas Double Shooting

Suspected gunman arrested in Terrell

Dallas police are searching for the gunman who killed one man and critically wounded another early Monday.

One person has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and another critically injured in Dallas.

Police said Michael Jernigan, 24, called for help from a home on the 2600-block of Southland Street at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

Officers arrived and found Jernigan on the living room floor, dead from apparent multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers also discovered a second shooting victim, 37-year-old Reginald McCullar, who had been shot in the head and arm.  McCullar was rushed to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, where he is in critical condition.

An arrest warrant was issued for Breshard Martin, 26, and he was arrested a short time later in Terrell by the Terrell Police Department.

Investigators have not yet revealed a motive for the shootings or details on what led them to Martin.
