The Salvation Army Angel Tree program is granting Christmas wishes for thousands of needy families in Dallas.

Salvation Army Angel Tree is granting Christmas wishes for thousands of needy families in Dallas.

The program encourages people to donate Christmas presents to children.

NBC 5 spoke with two women receiving help from the program.

Patricia Williams and Karen Lovill are friends and applied for the program together.

Williams is a single mother with an 11-year-old daughter.

“It’s just a blessing for my little angel,” Williams said. “I am on a fixed-income, so this really helps.”

Lovill has full custody of her grandchildren, ages 12 and 7.

“I am glad they will be happy this year,” Lovill said.

If you’d like to help grant Christmas wishes for needy families, you can find angel trees at malls across DFW.
