Dallas Convention Center Going to Voters

City still going ahead with plans

The petition drive to put a proposed Dallas Convention Center Hotel to a public vote has succeeded.

The Dallas City Secretary says the petition has enough verified registered voter signatures.

The referendum will be in May.

In the meantime the city is going ahead with plans to build the hotel so the vote could be moot.

The opposition is led by Crow Holdings, owners of the Hilton Anatole Hotel.
