Constable: Houston-Area Storage Units Robbed

Authorities are searching for thieves who broke into 87 storage units in the Houston area, stole some items and left behind damaged property.

KHOU-TV reported Monday that a Public Storage complex along Interstate 45 was burglarized. Authorities haven't provided details on what was swiped on Friday.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office says the thieves had the gate codes and used bolt cutters to open padlocks. Authorities say there were up to four suspects in a U-Haul truck and one acting as a lookout as they loaded items into the vehicle. The suspects were last seen traveling north on the interstate.

The storage company declined comment to the station.
