Cleburne Pharmacy Thieves Caught on Camera

“They came right in, just like they knew what they were looking for and they took this codeine cough syrup, promethazine of cough syrup,” said Cleburne Drug owner Monte Barron.

Cleburne Police hope surveillance video from a weekend break-in will lead to an arrest.

Three men broke into Cleburne Drug around 3 a.m. Saturday, and were caught on the store’s four surveillance cameras scooping up several bottles of cough syrup and Tylenol.

“They came right in, just like they knew what they were looking for and they took this codeine cough syrup, promethazine of cough syrup,” said Cleburne Drug owner Monte Barron.

The men used a large rock to smash through the front door, then spent less than one minute inside the store, fleeing before police arrived.

“I spend more time here than I do at home, and when you see those guys coming in and just taking whatever they want, it does make you feel very violated” said Barron.

Cleburne Drug is now offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

It’s the store’s third break-in in 4 years.
