Body of Plano Woman, 30, Found on Beach in Maryland

Maryland police are trying to figure out how a North Texas woman on vacation with her family died at a popular resort. Her body was discovered on the beach early this morning in Ocean City, Maryland. Authorities identified the woman as 30-year-old Ashley O’Connor of Plano.

The body of Ashley O'Connor, of Plano, was discovered at about 6:30 a.m. Monday at a beach resort in Ocean City, Maryland.

According to online reports from ‘DelmarvaNow,’ O’Connor was vacationing with her parents when she was reportedly separated from them at about 2 a.m.

A city spokeswoman told the publication that O’Connor appeared to have fallen in a hole and that her death may have been accidental.

The medical examiner’s office in Ocean City will now work to determine how O’Connor died, according to a press release.

NBC 5 reached out to the Plano Police Department. The head of the Crimes Against Persons unit said, to his knowledge, Maryland police have not contacted them about the case.
