They say all good things must come to an end – and that includes Garth Brooks’ triumphant return to North Texas.

Tuesday night, he’ll play his seventh and final show at the American Airlines Center.

When it’s all said and done, Brooks will have performed for approximately 140,000 fans. And perhaps none of them are more die-hard than a teacher in Arlington.

Ask Heather Robertson on a scale of one to ten how big of a Garth Brooks fan she is and she’ll answer with a big smile, “1,000”.

She first saw him play at Reunion Arena in 1991 when she was just 13-years-old. And she’s been a super fan ever since. She even keeps a “Garth book” at home, chalk full of pictures, ticket stubs and other memorabilia she’s collected over the years.

“He’s good,” said Robertson. “[His music] is from the heart. It’s true. It’s genuine.”

Attn Kris From Shannon Burns Hi Kris! My name is Shannon Burns. This is my 10 year old son Stinson. We took this picture for the AAC contest to be on the welcome billboard (I guess). I've loved Garth since I was 14 & now I have a 14 year old. (Slaton is my 14 year old son not pictured) The sweatshirt (it's twice his age) Stinson is wearing is one I had printed in the 90's from a concert I went to in Amarillo. The picture is of Garth & I. So I had the brilliant idea of putting my super cute kid (who'll do anything to get attention) in my sweatshirt with the cardboard cut out along side my license plates that I've had since I was 16! Let me know if you want more info. Besides my boys, Garth is my favorite topic. Shannon Burns

She and her husband went to Brooks’ show at the American Airlines Center Thursday night. Then again Friday night. Then again Saturday night.

If it were up to her, she would have also gone Sunday and Tuesday night.

“Never, ever once has it ever gotten old or boring,” said Robertson. “It’s brand new every single time.”

Saturday marked the 32nd time she’s seen Garth Brooks perform live. It was also the tenth time she’s seen him on his current World Tour. She also went to multiple shows in Little Rock and Houston.

“I didn’t want to wait until he got here,” said Robertson. “I couldn’t wait.”

And she couldn’t believe the souvenir she got to take home after Saturday’s show. Brooks’ drummer saw her dancing in the stands and decided she’d earned one of his drumsticks.

“He jumps down off the stage, comes over to me and tosses it up,” said Robertson. “He wanted me to have this. It was just awesome.”

About the only thing Robertson hasn’t done is meet Brooks himself, a wish that remains high on her bucket list.

She, like so many fans, hopes this isn’t the last time Garth Brooks performs in DFW, so she gets that chance.
