Arlington Neighborhood Ready to Make the Season Bright

The famous Interlochen holiday lights trail opens Wednesday in Arlington. NBC 5’s Tim Ciesco gives us a sneak peek.

When it comes to making the season bright, perhaps few do better – or take the phrase more literally – than Arlington’s Interlochen neighborhood.

For nearly 40 years, the Northwest Arlington community has dazzled onlookers with extravagant Christmas displays, made up of lights, nativities, inflatables – even alligators and tiki bars.

This year, approximately 200 homeowners are participating in the event.

The Lights at Interlochen starts Wednesday, December 17 and will run each night from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The trail begins at the intersection of Randol Mill Road and Westwood Drive. Road blocks and signs will be in place to guide drivers through the neighborhood.

The event is free.
