American Airlines Flight Diverted After Hitting Turbulence

An American Airlines flight from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to Tokyo Narita Airport diverted to Seattle Tuesday after encountering what a spokesperson for the airline described as "moderate turbulence."

The airline also confirmed that a flight attendant aboard Flight 61 suffered minor injuries in the incident. No passengers were hurt.

Ground crews in Seattle checked the Boeing 777-200 for any possible problems. They found none, so the plane continued on its way to Japan.
