Police say road rage led to a crash that sent five people to the hospital late Thursday evening in southern Dallas.[[ 311568211,L]]

The incident happened near the intersection of South Lancaster Road and Motor City Boulevard after 10 p.m. Thursday. Investigators said a driver of a silver Cadillac rammed a Honda Accord repeatedly until the Honda was sent into oncoming traffic.

The Honda was then hit by two additional cars– a Mitsubishi carrying four people, and a Toyota with an elderly couple. No serious injuries were reported.

The driver of the Honda, Rodney Easter, remained in Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas late Friday and was being treated for head injuries, his family said.

Easter had given a ride to a woman after she was in an argument with another man who then chased them down, said Rodney's father Oneal Easter.

"He went nuts, that's what I'd say," Oneal Easter said. "He gave her a ride and I guess the guy was mad and took it out on his car."

The driver of the Cadillac ran off and remained at large Friday.

Rodney Easter's sister Shalean said she hopes the hit-and-run driver is brought to justice.

"It's crazy to think people would go down and do that – ram people's cars, run them off the road," she said.
