Two children are injured after at least one other juvenile "accidentally discharged" a gun in Fort Worth Monday night, police say.
After initial reports in which Fort Worth police said a 1-year-old fired the weapon, authorities now say detectives found that two juveniles between 10 and 15 years old were playing with guns in a room when one of the firearms discharged.
The incident happened in the 800 block of E. Felix Street, Fort Worth police said.
An 8-year-old boy was hit with a bullet fragment. He and the 1-year-old were treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
Police said one of the juveniles fled the scene and detectives want to speak with them.
The 1-year-old was placed in CPS Custody, police said.
