Authorities said one person is dead after a driver tried to outrun a Dallas Area Rapid Transit train late Monday night. [[398312181,C]]
Investigators said two people were in a Chevy Camaro when the driver tried to cross the train tracks before the train in the 4100 block of Scyene Road just after 11:30 p.m.
The passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The driver was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
No injuries were reported on the train.
