Drug Used in Clinical Trials for COVID-19 Patients Appears to Help

The drug Remdesivir has been used on several COVID-19 patients in North Texas as part of two clinical trials at Baylor Scott and White. Drug-maker Gilead Sciences says preliminary results of a trial showed at least half of patients treated with a five-day dosage of Remdesivir improved and more than half were discharged from the hospital within two weeks.
