Community Conversations: Black Women Contractors Win Historic Deal

For the first time in the city’s history, an African-American woman-owned business with Texas roots was selected as the prime contractor in not only one, but two categories in Fort Worth. NBC 5’s Evan Anderson talked about the historic deal with Kimberly Shaw, president of the Regional Black Contractors Association, John Proctor, chairman of the Regional Black Contractors Association and Deryl McKissack, owner of McKissack & McKissack construction firm.
