100 Years After Lynching, Fort Worth to Erect Memorial Marker

100 years ago Fred Rouse was lynched in Fort Worth. He was a Black non-union butcher brutally attacked for crossing both union and racial lines. A memorial marker will be unveiled in the very spot he was hung. NBC 5’s Vince Sims talked with Rouse’s grandson Fred Rouse III about the somber anniversary and Adam McKinney the president of the Tarrant County Coalition for Peace and Justice about the marker and its significance.
