Unique Tadpole Draws Crowds

An unusual creature is drawing people to this facility in Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan. This red-eyed, gold-colored tadpole has been making waves since it was put on display after being caught by an employee of the Ishikawa Insect Museum. The creature is affectionately known as Akame-Chan, or literally “little red eyes.” People wanting to see Akame-Chan firsthand should hurry; the tadpole is already sprouting legs and expected to turn into a white or gold Japanese Wrinkled Frog in about a month.
