TSA Officer Prevents Smoking Bag Mishap

A quick-thinking security officer prevented a major mishap at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport when a bag in the security check line started smoking. After taking it to a safe area outside of the terminal, the TSA officer notified local law enforcement who quickly responded and determined the item was a vape battery that malfunctioned.
