Thousands Stung by Jellyfish at Florida Beaches

June 18 marked a record-setting day for the number of jellyfish stings at beaches in Volusia County in Florida. The county’s beach patrol officials said 11 people were pulled from the ocean Monday, and there were 397 stings reported. That brings the total number of stings to 2,447 in the last 11 days.
