Stuck Elk Saved From Ice Covered Spillway

An elk bull wandered into an overflow spillway in Cameron County, Pennsylvania and became trapped on the slippery ice at the base. After attempts to help get the elk out on his own failed, park officials didn’t want to stress the animal anymore so he was tranquilized and pulled to safety. Officials say the elk wasn’t injured other than a few cuts and scrapes on the his knees from falling on the ice.
