Robot Smartphone Getting Smarter

Electronics maker Sharp released the world’s first robot smartphone Thursday. It will promote it at a cafe in Tokyo for two weeks. Robohon is a smartphone. It can send and receive e-mails and be used to make calls. It also happens to walk, talk and dance. The device comes with a slightly steep price tag, costing approximately $1800. The company has received more than 1,000 orders. Foxconn, which will be acquiring Sharp, is eager to market the smartphone overseas. It plans to release the Robohon smartphone in China in fiscal year 2016.
